Hi, I am Anuj!

I am a biodiversity researcher with a love for amphibians and reptiles. I'm currently working towards a PhD in the Keogh Lab at the Australian National University. My research explores large-scale biodiversity patterns across geography and evolutionary time, with a particular focus on the macroevolutionary dynamics that drive the diversification of anurans (frogs and toads).

Beyond my doctoral work, I am involved in science communication and community engagement through two key initiatives. At HerpClub, we help foster collaboration within the Indian herpetology community—over the past two years, we published HerpBuzz, a monthly online newsletter that connected researchers and enthusiasts (this publication is currently paused). I also co-manage the Shieldtail Mapping Project, a citizen science initiative created to spread awareness about the small and neglected shieldtail snakes, while gathering valuable crowdsourced data on Indian shieldtail distributions and natural history.

In my free time, I like to play tennis and only recently got into indoor rock climbing.
